Liquid Coating Production and Pilot Lab
In our Production Coating Lab you'll find our new quick change Series 4000 Cartridge Coater with easy-to-remove cartridges, an advanced design using the latest technology available in the industry. Best of all, our lab not only gives you the ability to test your process to see if it delivers the results you're looking for, it also lets you experiment with your coating properties. Our Production Coating Lab is capable of widths up to 36 inches (914mm).
Our Pilot Coating
Lab is the perfect place to test your formulations, determine methodologies,
perfect techniques, develop new products, evaluate equipment and take
your new products to the next level.
The pilot line handles webs from thin-gauge films to paper and heavier
paperboard and nonwovens. The compact design also helps minimize material
waste. It's capable of over 30 different coating methods. An in-line
Corona Discharge Treater favorably modifies web surface tension, providing
better wetness and adhesion of aqueous coatings to various films and
polycoated webs. And our 5-roll coater gives you even more flexibility.
Drying/curing is accomplished by a three-zone air flotation gas-heated
dryer. Additionally, the line can share the multi-zoned 60-foot dryer
section of the Production Coating line to provide more drying capacity
for heavy coatweights, high speeds, or when extra curing time is required.
For those coatings that require photocure, there is an in-line Ultra-Violet
curing station just ahead of the flotation dryers. Our Pilot Coating
Lab is capable of widths up to 18 inches (457mm).
We have the capability to run the Production Coater and the Pilot Coater together to offer you access to the only OEM Tandem facility in North America. That means you can apply two coatings on one pass - so you don't have to handle the product twice, saving you both time and money. You can run tandem in widths up to 18 inches (457mm).
