Barrier Film

Multi-extruder configurations are available to produce high barrier structures using micro layer co-extrusion technology. Polymers such as Nylon and EVOH are utilized in single or multiple layers within a structure. Structures of 7, 9, 14 and more are possible with co-extrusion systems offered by EDI and Cloeren. Film forming by air knife or vacuum box on highly efficient chill rolls with subsequent annealing is offered.

• Typical net line sizes are 60” / 1.5 M to 100” / 2.5 M
• Operating up to 325 FPM / 100 MPM depending on film thickness and properties desired.
• Film thickness is typically 2 to10 mils / 50 to 250 microns.
• Output up to 2400 PPH / 1100 KPH are possible depending on line size, thickness and properties desired.

Typical products; meat and fish packaging, cheese over wrap

This 189 inch (4.8 meter) casting unit runs stretch films at speeds in excess of 1804 ft./min. (550 m/min.) with excellent reliability.

Cast film line with close coupled and streamlined feed pipes to a 7 Layer coextrusion system on a 150 inch (3.8 meter) wide die.

Stretch Film Lines from 80 inches (2 meters) to 200 inches (5 meters).
